• I'm a director and co-founder of Bitbuzz, Ireland's leading provider of Wi-Fi hotspots..
• Together with Evil Dr. Jim, I started Skittlesvodka.com, the canonical home of Skittles Vodka recipes.
• I also run NoEntropy, your online source for non-random numbers.
• Alan created this masterpiece depicting what I do when not in work

Ex-nefarious activites

• I was a director of Enigma Consulting, where Naill Murphy and I provided consuting services to ISPs and telcos in Ireland and the UK.
• Until Sept 2002 I was the Senior Product Architect for VIA NET.WORKS, Inc.
• Until the middle of 2003 I was the Vice Chairman, member of the board and part of the Executive Committee of the Internet Neutral Exchange Association (INEX, the Irish exchange point)
• Ross (Ross, do you have a home page?), Niall and I started Club Internet many moons ago, with the hinderance of some guys in suits. Here's an old photo of Ross and me discovering a rather large security hole in someone else's network. I'm the one on the right, although I look scarily like my namesake in that picture. These days Thomas feeds and waters what was ClubI. 'Nuf said.
• I was a founding member and secretary of the now nefunct ISOC Ireland, which was an attempt to get an Irish chapter of the Internet Society off the ground.
• I was a research student in the Distributed Systems Group, Dept of Comuter Scientce, Trinity College, Dublin, off and on for a while.
• I had the pleasure of plauging (and even occasionally going to) the Maths Dept in Trinity for four years until they gave me a degree. I was also briefly the librarian of the MathSoc but that's another story.
